United nations office on drugs and crime (unodc)

Chair: Aoife Meyer - aoifemeyer08@gmail.com

Hi everyone! My name is Aoife Meyer, and I’m so excited to be one of your Chairs for the UNODC committee this year. It’s my first time chairing, and I couldn’t be happier that it’s  UNODC. The two topics we’ll be tackling, are both highly relevant and impactful in today’s world. I’m really looking forward to hearing all of your insights and solutions throughout the conference! This will be my fourth year participating in Model UN, and I’ve made so many unforgettable memories. One of my favorites has to be from MUNUC 36, when a group of us from my LEGAL committee went out together, and I tried Chipotle for the first time.

Chair: Ace Arnold-  ace.k.arnold15@gmail.com

Hello all! My name is Ace, and I will be one of your chairs for the UNODC this year. I’ve spent the last two years in Model UN participating in conferences around the state—and in Chicago!—and I am so thrilled to be a chair for the first time. One of my favorite moments would be from my most recent WHSMUN conference where I had the joy of creating Redfish as a result of the Chernobyl disaster. I hope your time at MADMUN is as wonderful as can be and that we help you learn a thing or two as you move through your MUN journey. We are SO excited to have you!

Sim: Charlie Gittins - gittic14@muhs.edu

Hello! My name is Charlie Gittins, and I’m a sophomore at Marquette University High School. This is my second year in Model UN, and I’m excited to be one of your sims for MADMUN’s UNODC committee. I originally joined MUN for the fun of conferences like CIMUN and MUNUC, but I fell in love with it during MADMUN XV because of the opportunity to debate, create policy, and meet new people. The UNODC committee matters to me because it tackles real-world challenges like drug trafficking and gun control. Outside of MUN, I play soccer, watch movies, and tutor refugee students in Milwaukee. Getting to know students from countries like Afghanistan and Sudan has broadened my perspective and strengthened my sense of responsibility to help others around the world. I hope your time in the UNODC committee brings challenges, opportunities, and new friendships. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at gittic14@muhs.edu. All the best!

Sim: Charlie Volm - VolmC27@muhs.edu

Hey everyone! My name is Charlie Volm and I am one of the Sims for UNDOC. I currently attend Marquette University High School as a junior. This will be my third year participating in Model UN and I have participated at Madmun in both Crisis and General Assembly. This will be my first experience as a Sim and I hope to help make your Madman experience as amazing as possible. Model UN has been one of my favorite activities to participate in throughout high school and I encourage you to use Madmun to get outside of your comfort zone and experience all aspects of MUN.
