Chernobyl Committee

Chair: Alex Kulstad - 27kulstadal@waunakeecsd.org

Hey delegates! I’m Alex, one of your chairs for the Chernobyl Committee. I’m currently a junior at Waunakee High School. I’ve been a part of Model UN since my freshman year, making this my third year. Outside of Model UN, I also play piano and guitar, I’m a part of the Waunakee’s jazz band on guitar, but I mainly swim and am a part of the school’s swim team. I look forward to chairing the committee!

Chair: Micheal  Johnson- 27johnsonmi@waunakeecsd.org

Hi delegates! I'm Michael, your other chair for the Chernobyl Committee. I'm also a junior at Waunakee, and this is also my third year of Model UN. When I'm not doing Model UN, I play saxophone for one of Waunakee's jazz bands and I spend time with friends and family. This is my first time chairing, so I'm excited to experience something new with all of you!

 Sim: Luke Jiang - lukejiang09@gmail.com

Hello delegates, I’m Luke, and I will be a sim for this committee. Like Michael and Alex, I’m a junior from Waunakee and have done Model UN for all of high school, and this will be my first time simming a committee, though I’ve chaired once before. Besides Model UN, I also enjoy music, biology, literature, and writing. Soviet or Chinese committees are always my favorite to participate in because of the extremely complicated politics involved, and I hope that you’ll come to feel the same. While this might only be an Intermediate committee, be prepared for an unprecedented crisis. We will make sure of that.

Sim: Grady Symes - symes.grady@gmail.com

Hello delegates, I’m Grady and I will also be a sim for this committee. I am a senior at Madison West and have been doing model UN since freshman year, this will be my first time simming a committee. Outside of Model UN, I play saxophone for a West band, spend a lot of time outdoors, and play ultimate frisbee. I like crisis committees because of their complicated nature and how much can change from the start of the committee. I am very excited to have the opportunity to sim for you all.
