Chair: Mason Konz, mason.konz@mgschools.net
Hey! My name is Mason Konz (he/him), and I’ll be chairing the G20 committee this year for MADMUN XIV. As a Junior, I now have experienced two years of Model UN and have chaired MADMUN last year. I joined Model UN not just because of my interest in politics and debate, but because of the atmosphere and connections the club has let me experience. These two years of conferences and club meetings have helped me grow so much, and every conference I still manage to learn something new. I’m chairing this year because I want to help provide delegates with a great conference opportunity, and a chance to practice and grow their skills. I look forward to seeing you all on November 18th. Good luck in your research, and don’t hesitate to reach out with any and all questions. You can reach me at mason.konz@mgschools.net. Remember, we are here to help you.
Chair: Mason Sponem, Msponem@alumni.nd.edu
Hi, my name is Mason Sponem. We’ve kept it easy for you to remember our names as chairs. As a 2017 Monona Grove grad, it has been a few years since I participated in Model UN, but I previously sat on the MADMUN planning board for 2 years and co-chaired in the GA at CIMUN in Chicago in 2018.
I work for a real estate investment firm here in Madison and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2021. Model UN still holds a very special place in my heart because of how I grew academically, learned to get along with people very different than myself and was able to explore my interest politics outside the classroom. I am very happy to be able to give back to the program by volunteering this year. Please email me at msponem@alumni.nd.edu if you have any questions ahead of MADMUN or if you would like to talk Notre Dame Football.
Sim: Kylie Hollenstein, hollenstein@wisc.edu
Hello! My name is Kylie Hollenstein, and I am a senior at UW-Madison studying history. I was a Model UN member throughout all of high school and an officer for three years. While I am not on UW’s Model UN team, I have spent most of my time in student government work and performing research for the Rebecca Blank Campus Center for History. I agreed to chair, because I think it’s always great to volunteer your time in order to support your local community. If you have any questions pertaining to UW-Madison or college in general, feel free to reach out!
